Dual boot help

so i recently tried to create a dual boot of xp and vista with vista being the first os installed. it failed and i couldn't get into either.

so whats the proper method of getting dual boot within 1 HD and 2 partitions. i now have xp installed first.

Install Vista and you then should be fine.

As XP is older, it doesn't know how to load Vista. If you had install XP first, then Vista, it would have worked fine. When you loaded XP, you broke the ability to boot into Vista.

No worries, you can simply copy ntldr from another XP system to the primary drive (C

and you should be good to go!
