Hello, i currently run Vista 32 bit. I am planning to install Vista 64 bit as a dual boot. I have a partition on my HDD clear for it. How i do go about the dual boot process. Can any one guide me please? Thanks.
If you just install it on the separate partition it should work for you. If not the os will still be there and you just need to find a bootloader to make it appear in your current os after post.
Just install to that partition. If you can't get back to 32 bit, post here and we'll add it to the boot loader. (but you have a good chance that it will be added for you)
yeah, as stated, just specify the empty partition when loading the OS. When you boot up, after POST, you will see a screen that lets you pick the OS to boot.
Thank you guys. I was a little skeptical about moving to 64 bit. This is like a test drive. If everything works well, i will move to 64bit permanently. I will make the installation in a few hours. I will post back if i run into any issues. Thanks again.
