Can some one explain to me dual core cpus as im still in the dark about them.....with a clock speed of 3Ghz does that mean both cores run at that or they run at that speed combined ???

Depends on what you use your computer for, and also if you plan on overclocking.

Yes both cores would be 3GHz and NO they don't add up like some people think. So if your doing something single-threaded, you don't get 6GHz. Only one core would work and the other would idle.

Atm i wont be looking to overclock it and in the end i mayvery well not ovreclock it at all.....It will be mainly Music, Video, Net and the odd game or two
