Dual Loop Questions. which pumps? rad suggestions

Hey OCN I'm planning of adding a second loop to my computer.
I currently have a HW Lab Black Ice GT 360 http://www.hwlabs.com/index.php?opti...d=27&Itemid=24 with a Apogee GTZ for and i7 920, vreg block, and DD-Tieton Full Waterblock on a GTX 280 SC. I'm running 7/16" tubing w/ a mcp 655 vario pump and drive bay resy.

Here is my problem. I have 2 XSPC Acrylic Reservoir and one mcp 350. I'm planning on running the cpu, vreg and later a northbridge with the hw lab gt 360 rad but im not sure which pump to use? the mcp 350 w/XSPC Res TOP or the mcp 655 vario??? also do i really need a mcp 355???

The second loop will have a swiftech 220 rad (anyone recommend a better one?) with a mcp 350/355 w/XSPC for the GPU.

these will be two different loops.
Im also upgrading my case to hopefully a Corsair Obsidian 800D

and lastly can someone recommend a good triple rad (might sell the one i have now for a fatty rad). also a good double rad????

I'm actually a little confused as to what you have. Do you have 2 res tops, and only one 350? Or do you have a 350 and a 655?

If you have the 350 and a 655, stick the 655 on the graphics loop, and the 350w/top on the CPU/MOSFET/NB loop. The flow rates between teh 655 and 355 in that situation will be approximately equal, and the 655's flow will be better on the GPU loop.

If that isn't the case, clarify as to what you have or are deciding between.

As to the RAD, if you've got 95$ get the RX360. Otherwise the MCR320 or RS360 will do fine. The decision is really 55$vs40$, as I remember they perform about equally (I have to re check this).

For 240's the decision is really the same, pick between RX/RS/MCR220 based on price.

Hope that helps!

what i have
2 res tops
1 mcp 350
1 mcp 655

wanted to know if i should use two 350 (id have to buy 1) or one 350 and one 655. thank you for your comment. very helpful.

I think ill do what you said

cpu/vreg/nb on the 355 w/res top

gpu w/ 655
See less See more
Then with that list there's no need to pickup a 355.

The head on the 350 is nice for the more restrictive CPU/MOSFET/Nb loop. The flow on the 655 is nice for the GPU loop. You've got a nice setup right there no need to buy the new pump.

GL with the loop, you should be sitting very nice after the second loop is added!
