I am borrowing my brother's old NEC CRT monitor, i wanted to know how to get it to show something like my PC probe(asus temp/speed monitor program). I want to be able to play games on my main monitor, and watch on the other monitor the program. Is this easily done? thanks

If your video card has two dvi ports, just hook up the other monitor to it. might need a dvi to vga (or whatever theyre called) adapter though.

Very easy. Plug and play for the most part. Once it's connected you may have to restart (probably not) and just right click on your graphic card's driver tray icon and mess with the settings. You'll want Primary Screen + one instead of having it spread out across two screens (Especially for gaming).

when i did that.. anytime any screen went to full screen, WMP, games.. the other one would go to completly black.. i got tired of trying to make it stay on and took the other monitor off.. it made my desk to cluttered anyway <img src="/images/smilies/tongue.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Stick Out Tongue" class="inlineimg" />

You need to set it up as an extended desktop, that would fix the problem of just having a copy of the desktop on the monitor. Extending your desktop will enable your desktop from your primary monitor, act as if the primary was "extended" on to the secondary, making yoru workspace much bigger. i play wow, and get very bored, so i usually have a movie playing on my secondary while playing. it works well.
