Hi all,
First post. I am not overclocking my pc, but am adding a second power source, referring to the tutorial in this section on how to. Let me give you my sytem specs, and the power supply watts, and ask for assistance on how I should distribute the power to my components for best results.
Pentium4 3.0Ghz Hyperthread enabled.
(2) 1 gig sticks of Ram
(2) Hard drives (nothing fancy)
(1) Dvd drive
(1) Cd writer drive
(1) POS floppy drive
(1) Nvidia GeForce 6800 GS Vid card
(1) Soundblaster Sound card
(2) Cooling fans, 1 on processor, 1 on case.
I have an existing 350 watt power supply, and have a small 200 watt that I want to add to the system.
My questions are (1) Is this enuff additional power? (2) What would be the best way to distribute the power detween components for best performance? (3) If I added a couple of extra fans, would that be needed, and where should they factor in to the power supply equasion?
Thanks for help
