Hey guys im new to wc but i was wondering if i do dual rad would i need to do dual pump to take strain off of a single or get a single high flow.Im going with two black ice gt rads http://www.frozencpu.com/products/50...?tl=g30c95s161 can you guys recommend me a pump to run in this loop its cpu only for now,but its going to have 2 5870s in it soon
Oh the cpu is going to be either a qX6850 at 4.2 or a b3 q6600
No, one pump will suffice for a water cooling loop, provided that you get a good pump.
For your rig, since you have a few blocks, I'd recommend the Swiftech MCP 355 with the EK Custom Top, or the XSPC custom top.
Good luck with your water cooling endeavour!
Edit: The MCP655 will do just as well. The MCP655 has more flowrate than the MCP355, but less head pressure for pushing through the multiple blocks. The MCP655 also comes with stock 1/2" barbs, but the MCP355 needs a custom top to improve the performance and allow the use of 1/2" barbs.
2 rads and 3 waterblocks will offer quite a bit of restriction. D5's are high flow, but perform poorly in loops with more restriction. A DDC would probably serve you better, as it provides more pressure.
Since you would need to use at least 86+cfm 120x38mm fans on the GTS for best performance you might want to look at the old BIX...BIX 360 .It does well with higher cfm fans and it's not nearly as flow restrictive as the GTS, they have a BIX and BIP clone in that GTS review also. Good fans for either....86cfm Pana ......115 Pana-S/W

I had a 655 pushing quite a lot of water through a D-Tek Fuzion CPU block, Swiftech Stealth GPU block, Swiftech MCP30 northbridge block, PA.160 radiator, and BIX 240 radiator. 2 rads, 3 blocks, and it flowed very quickly. However, it's pretty bulky, and I might switch to the 355 when I eventually replace it.
i just looked at some performance graphs a little more, and even cutting the flow of an unrestrictive loop in half (making it a very restrictive one) doesnt affect temps more than just 1C, 2 at most. as long as you stay above 1 GPM you wont notice much real world difference. D5 and DDC will most definately keep you in the >1GPM area, so dont worry, even with 2 GTS rads.
I'm going to be using 2 triple rads(swiftech), and a single rad(swiftech) with 4 90 degree bends, apogge gt and around 15ft of tubing with my mcp655 vario on setting one. You should be fine but remember rads are most unrestrictive thing in your loop.
ive just built my first loop straight in no testing and its running sweeeeet,
(Gas Engineer/Plumber so a leak was erm not gonna happen lol)
I have a DDC Ultra and it is a magnificant pump i can highly recommend it,

I really would use something besides the GTS, there just to restrictive with-out being that much better temp wise then what other rads will give you.
