Dumb multi-GPU question

247 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  t_russell
Just wanted to clarify something in my mind: If I had a dual PCI-E x16 mobo, could I use an ATI card for graphics, and a nVidia card for folding?

(This is all hypothetical at the moment, but may come in useful when I come to a new build)

Yes, only on XP and 7 , because vista cannot support multiple video card drivers.

Vista only let's you install 1 display driver at a time. It won't let you install 2.

Yer I'm sure you have to install the ATI card first then the nVidia card.
