I just got rounded cables today and when i connected all the cables all together , my NEC DVD-RW was sensed in the BIOS but not in Windows...
I need help , I use my DVD-rw quite often
RE-connect it with an unrounded cable to test and see if Windows senses it, if windoes senses with the unrounded then you cut some wires when you rounded the cable.
THe easy way to check for cut wires is to slows turn the cable in good light and look for any light reflections, if you see any shiny spots then you cut some wires. If you tried a 80 wire cable then most likely you cut it, those have very small wired that are easy to slice through and hard to cut around.
