dx9 on HL2

how do i turn on dx level 9 on HL2 it is cruently on 8

I am doing this because im running at 800/600 with everything on high and want more quality

Go to Steam Game options, Preferences, Launch, then type in "-dxlevel 90" without the quotes. But seriously, your FX card will perform very poorly with DX9. I had a FX5700le before and it rocked on DX8, but lagged like crap on DX9.

a 5200 cannot run in DX 9 it doesnt have the hardware technology
