Ok I'm trying to get my E5200 OC'd with a bus of 300 and just can't seem to get it. reading the e5200 thread I know its doable on my Gigabyte ep35-ds3l and would like to ask the community if anyone could give me some advise on settings to try THANKS!

Theses chips are known for having fsb walls @ 300 and above

but what kind of voltage have you tried ?

mine would only run up to like 320.
I would be happy with 300. I think i went all the way up to 1.38XX on the cpu and everything else .1 over
please fill in your system specs on user CP
because i see no system specs , i'm gonna blindly recommend that you bump the northbridge volts .1 or .2 volts up and memory volts to around 2.1 -2.2.

do not do this until i see your system specs.

go to quick links>user control panel>add system and fill out as much as you can

Yeah I have an E5200 in an HTPC and it has a FSB wall at 265 FSB...

OP, make aure the ram SPD isnt too high. Set it to 2.00B for 1:1 and see if you can push past 300 FSB.

OK Guys I Got it

my problem was simple I just overlooked it. I needed to lower the Multiplier..

I set the Voltage at 3.8XX
Ram at 2.5
all overvoltages .1
Bus speed 333
Multi at 10
Ok, cool. Was about to suggest jumping past 300, because my own e5200 has an FSB hole at 307. No matter what I do I can't post at 307 :/ I can go over that though!
I got 300 and jumped to 333 and it worked haha. then I tried 350 no luck it posted but restarted loading the OS. I'll push it in the future the temp wont go past 45C
What did you set to 3.8V, the MCH Core? Also check the specs on your RAM to make sure 2.5V isnt a little to aggressive.

sorry the Ram i set to 2.50 for im guessing spd? not voltage

as for the cpu voltage there is only one setting in there for cpu voltage and im not sure what they labeled it.

um, 3.8v? That will kill something. Instantly. Most e5200's have a wall around 333. If it can't get past 300 there's something wrong with it.
MCH was increased .1

it was voltage control that i changed that high lookin at the 5X00 thread. I backed it down to 1.34XX and im sorry it was at 1.38
Maybe start at like 1.3V and try to find your FSB wall. MCH should be good there. Also check the specs on your RAM for timing and voltage
My chip is FSB limited as well, I have hit 304 with a lower multi and 1.325Vcore, Also I disabled Vdroop and C1E. I dropped it down to [email protected] to gain a higher and more stable OC.

Here is what mine is running @, 100% stable, 41c idle, 60 load, this should give you an idea:

I plan on lapping the CPU/AC7 to maximize my cooling and hopefully it will allow me to push my FSB a little more.
