Main obstacles in OCing are temperatures and voltages.

Donwload HWMonitor here to monitor your temperatures and VCore.

You are watching for temperatures verging on and reaching 60 degrees. Although you "can" go higher than this I would not recommend it. Overclocking with stock cooler is not recommended but is doable for small overclocks.

Secondly you are going to need to increase your VCore in the BIOS as you increase the frequency of the processor. Use Prime 95 to stress your processor and use HWMonitor at the same time to monitor the temperatures. As you increase the frequency of the processor you will need to run Prime 95 multiple times after every boot, if it passes then the voltage is ok, if it fails then the voltage is too low and needs to be increased by a few milivolts until it is stable.

Thirdly as you increase your processor speed you will also be increasing the speed of your RAM, whilst overclocking I would recommend setting the RAM multiplier to its lowest setting because if the RAM runs too fast your computer won't boot and this will interfere with getting your processor stable.

It was 1.4 after i increased the FSB to 325. But as i said about the temp went to ~75 Celcius on load.

Btw after i cancelled the OC i made stress test again and my Average temp is 60 celcius without OC. isnt it high also ?

1.4v is way too much for just 2.3Ghz. My E6300 did 2.8Ghz at just 1.2v. Had low temps too.

I agree... I can run 3.6ghz on mine on that mobo with 1.4v.. lower your vcore.

*for P5B clocking..here are some tips:

leave RAM on 'auto' timings
disable static read
set 400fsb with 800mhz RAM- use 1.35v FSB and 1.5v NB..bump RAM to 2.15v..should boot and run fine, if not adjust your vcore.

--these chipsets have a HUGE latency DROP +1mhz over 400fsb..you will be better suited to jump to 450mhz fsb and 900mhz RAM as a next choice, should you need more FSB to clock with.

Also, the NB needs max voltage of 1.65v in the BIOS to run 4GB's of RAM with +400mhz FSB..these mobo's are far better suited for running 2GB's for daily use..or 2x512's for extreme OC. Pizzaman is playing with my P5b now..running a E8400 +560FSB
