Ok i recently got this and these system specs
E6300
Biostar TForce 965PT mobo
G.Skill DDR2-800 5-5-5-15
Rosewill 450w PSU
7900GS (no OC)
Also i have an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro
Ok now i cant seem to get past 350x7 stable. My CPU is very cool and even when i up the voltage it doesnt help. Im running the ram at 2.0v as well.
Now what I think it is is my RAM is being pushed like a mother. I cannot seem to find my FSB : DRAM ratio in my phoenix award bios at all. I have checked and checked only to find how to change the mhz speed and the timings. Im starting to think my Mobo doesnt offer a ratio change but that can't be. The OC options of this board are awesome so dunno.
At a 2:3 ratio CPU-Z says my DDR2-800 RAM is running at freakin 525mhz!
First off thats ****ing awesome for DDR2 800 ram. Also when i made it 360 it was like almost 540mhz. I doubt the ram can take anymore mhz since its at this 2:3 ratio.
This does sound plausible right? Im only 16 and my first time ever OC so I cant say for sure. But i know enough to think that is the reason. Now, if it is the reason is it does anyone know where I might find this FSB : DRAM ratio? I've looked and looked in my BIOS and cant find it. But i also know that this board was said to reach very high OC, which makes me think unless they had INSANE RAM they were able to change the ratio. Any help would be appreciated.
