So, I've finally ditched the P5n32-sli SE to get a p5b mother board, and so far ive been able to get to 2.88GHz with no problems. I sort of used the guide on another forum to get an idea of what i should be changing on the bios, but not to the letter:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=115217

I'm currently running @ an FSB of 360. and its stable with a polled vcore of 1.37V and a core temp of 40 degrees celsius (~43 degrees when stressed) im using sisoft sandra's stress tests.

I can boot up with 365 initially, and i can stress it, but when i reboot
it will do its 4 beep alarm and i'll have to reset the bios jumper to clear it.

what is funny is that if i let it the computer run after the 4 beeps, the monitor has no signal but i can actually hear windows starting up and all my apps that make noise on start up with windows can be heard.

No adjustments to NB voltage or SB voltage helps

I'm guessing it's my ram thats holding me back.

anybody got any ideas?

im currently using the following:

E6400 Oc'ed to 2.8Ghz stable; Vcore: 1.4V (actual: 1.37V)
Zalman cnps9500LED
P5B Deluxe
2x 1024 Corsair Value select rated @ 667Mhz voltage: 2.25V; 5-5-5-15
asus 7600gt silent
TT 430W PSU

PS. does anyone want to purchase a P5N32-sli SE Deluxe in excellent condition w/ all the fixins?

Hmmm.. I was able to raise my OC by tightening the timings. This is counter-intuituve I believe, but once I changed to 4-4-4-12 the only thing that has stopped me is temps.

I have Corsair X-treme. It came out of the box at 5-5-5-15 like yours.

It might help?

I'm not sure about the timings. The vendor website doesnt post the timing for thier value select line of 667 Mhz RAM. I'm assuming that the correct timing for the RAM is 5-5-5-15 for 333Mhz because CPU-Z has tab called SPD and it says that the timings for 333mhz FSB is 5-5-5-15. whereas the 266mHz FSB timings are 4-4-4-12.

Syrillian, what ram do you have exactly and what temperatures are you getting @ with your frequency?

Patriot PC2-6400 PEP21G6400LL

Vary's depending on ambient. @22C ambient = 34+/- (TAT). Right now @ 30C ambient TAT reads 48C (fluctuates between 47 and 51)
