because it is -80

He is running a homemade 2 stage phase change system.......................which means really low temps

RAM optimizer? I've seen one which can pull the volts on the RAM pretty madness.

No. I'm using some trimmers soldered on the motherboard.

For example: here's a picture of my Intel Bad Axe motherboard
Wow dude that would have to be right up there with some of the wackiest **** I have ever seen..but i digress.

Let me introduce myself, I am angryman.

I am completely new to overclocking but have built many computers before so some background with them is there. I don't wish to annoy you with tedious noob questions,However I noticed you have similar specced parts to myself and you have the same mobo. If you would be so kind to spread some of your knowledge in my direction it would be much appreciated. Generally I don't think pushing my system as hard as you are is for me as I just got it and it cost a lot of mullah(Australian Prices Suck Hole) but I would like to see it motor a hell of a lot better than it is. If you could point me the right way it'd be cool..

Thanks in
Advance
Of course Angryman; if you have some questions please feel free to contact me by private message directly

So, I hope I'll be able to do more... BTW I've tried this morning and after starting, the system froze into the bios and refused to reboot again.

Then I've turned off the cascade and unmounted the evaporator and insulation to find ice and water around the socket. I hope the motherboard and CPU (which is not mine) are still OK.

Hope the rig isnt toast.

Water = Not good!!

And guys, use SBA... Search Before Asking. If you do a search, you will find pics of before's 2 Stage Cascade on this forum, and also an explaination of what it is.

The basic theory:

A phase unit cools the cpu and throws out the heat.
The second phase unit cools the first unit, allowing it to work more efficiently.

This has also been done with a 3rd unit, known as 'Triple-Stage cascade'.

In theory you could just keep adding more and more units, but that'd get silly.

When its as cold as that, other things start to limit it, so cooler wouldnt neccisarily (sp) help.
