What does everyone use i want to have an all out war mp3 vs Flac and stuff like that now discuss. I personally rip my music in LAME mp3 192-225KB/s VBR0

FLAC all the way! FLAC is just like Wave, totally lossless, but about 66% the size. It has the same quality as Wave, so it's perfect, and it takes up less space. Who could want more? Not me!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Big Grin">

Muftobration what exacly is wave i heard bout it alot but i couldn't understand what exacly it it. And muftobration if i had ur Hard drives i to will be ripping in Flac. but yeah i don't so.

I rip CD's to be copied or listened to on speakers in FLAC, but I use VBR MP3 (ripped in LAME) for things I'll put on my iPod.

so wait a minute chipp. U rip ur cd's in Flac and mp3? First of all what Bit rate? and plus how in the world do u manage to have a total of 160gb and rip in both formats. And what do u meen ur speakers? do u rip the mp3's on to ur pc and Flac u put on ur mp3 server or what. How do u feed ur Flac files to ur speakers.<br><br>
EDIT:what ripper do u use i use CDEX.
