Enabling HDR in Far Cry wont work

i finally DLed the game off d2d and got it up and running..but i wanetd to see the game run with hdr..so i turned AA off and brought the console down and entered r_hdrrendering 7 and nothign happened..it says the game is patch 1.4 am i missing something here

Copy this into system.cfg Overwriting the txt in there.(opens with notepad)

Make sure AA is set to off.

Run the game. :]

I thought a 6800 Ultra would be ok.. but guess not or he didn't like the look..
Oh well cant please them all lol.
the 6800ultra wouldnt have any problems in a game such as css, where the maps are small , but with Farcry the maps are alot bigger meaning alot more to render at any given time.
Yeah but the 6800 Ultra was the latest and greatest
when farcry came out. Surely It's playable with HDR?
it plays fine..it just looks terrible IMO
now theres another problem..ever since i copy and pasted that into system config theres a bunch of status numbers in the top right corner..FPS polygons per sec, polygons, SM 3.0 path etc etc..how do i remove that
