[ENG] Nintendo DSi LL set loose in Japan

Feels nice when a company keeps its promises, doesn't it? Nintendo said it'd have the newly bulked up DSi LL out in Japan for November 21, and shockingly enough that's exactly what's happened. Eager Japanese upgraders have today gotten their mitts on the 4.2-inch (both screens, of course) device, while similarly inclined European and American Nintendo lovers are once again left to envy from afar. Their helping of jumbo DSi, to be known as the XL, will be showing up some time in the first quarter of 2010, long after bragging rights and gift-giving holiday occasions have passed. We're not sure whether to consider it consolation or cruelty, but you'll find a gallery containing close-ups of the new machine at the read link.

I wonder if the resolution is the same? If it is, then what's the point of having bigger screen? Do I really want to see more pixelation?

That actually looks really nice, but I already have a ds....
I still one of the original DS's that I had imported from the states when they came out over there. Collecting dust somewhere in the house
It reminds me of a Macbook Pro. Kind of.
I'll stick with my original fugly-silver DS, thanks.
I want a DS... Might get this one.
I applaud nintendo. They have the worse console(in terms of specs), they came in last last gen, and have been around the longest and they are kicking ass and taking names.
I want I want I want I want I want I want I want I want.

Amen man.

I'm still holding on tight to my retro bugger.

Although that being said, I thought it was quite cool what they have done with the screen. Just now i'm not really sure what they are going to do with all that screen space.

bigger screen is easier to see regardless of its resolution

And we're not talking like going from 2 inch screen to a 60 inch one either. lol

Even though the hardware specs of the DS are not impressive, they still sell more than the PSP, etc. The games released on the DS resonate with kids more than the PSP from what I have seen. Pokemon sells more than any game for the PSP. Also, casual gamers such as young and older women are more likely to buy a DS than a PSP.
I'll stick with my DS Lite I got when they were first released here in NA.

Ill pass.
Unless you've used it how do you know...not to be a jerk just seems sorta silly your judging it's too big by a picture that makes the product look as great as possible.
