No surprises here: Apple just announced that iPhone OS 3.0 will support copy and paste. A double-tap auto-selects the text you want with movable "grab points," and a pop-up edit bar display buttons for cut, copy, and paste. Finally! What's more, there's also "shake to undo," which is exactly what it sounds like: a quick shake brings up a box that allows you to undo and redo c/p actions. |

I had asked my friend to do something on his phone because my battery was dead, and he was like it can't... I was like *** is the point of having a smartphone if it can't do regular stuff?! To which his reply was "it's not a smart phone, it's a regular phone with a touch screen."

They actually want to make sure they do it right. They want the execution of whatever feature you're using to be just as good as using the feature. It's easy to stuff a bunch of features into a phone but have the phone suck so much that you can't use it.
