So I just got this new motherboard. The problem is that every time I boot up my system shuts off after I get to the "Starting Windows" screen (Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit). I think this might be due to my ram. I have Centon ram, 2GB (11642, LCMPC2G/NBEC, MKCS38UXA). My PSU is the 600 watt ULTRA LS, I just got this. I looked on a few websites and I only find that the only ram that Centon produces is for notebooks...

I am guessing there is a confict with AHCI mode and IDE mode. if you install the OS in one mode, then try to load with the SATA set to the other mode, it will do this. And it could be because of a previous install conflicting with the new hardware.

I've had the same problem and what worked for me was downclocking the RAM to either 800 or 667 mhz. If this doesn't work try booting with one stick of RAM and see if that gets rid of the problem.
