can anyone say anything about the sli approvement required EPP on RAM?
PC7200 4-4-3-15 EPP RAM against PC6400 3-3-3-8 non-EPP? ... is 'EPP' just an nVidia money scam

i believe the epp thing, just allows for the correct voltage/timings to be used on first boot instead of manually setting it.

however they also are known to overclock extremely well

so the cheaper 7200 EPP RAM with lower 'start' timings might actually be clocked to near or same performance as the pretty fast 6400's?
All the EPP RAM I've looked at from the 'official list' at slizone are cl4 or 5 at stock.

Are there in fact any advantages of the EPP RAM as such, besides rigorous stress-test insurance, what's the thing with "sli broadcast" for instance?
How does GeiL GX22GB6400PDC 3-3-3-8, to eg. Corsair Dominator 6400C3DF 3-4-3-9(-2T??) .. the latter costs more, but if there some actual gain in that they are EPP? and may be clocked to the same CAS as the GeiL?
In fact the PC2-8500 Dominator are cheaper (same as GeiL) than the PC2-6400, but 'SPD stocked' at 5-5-5-18(15 EPP) .. might be the reason right there The 6400 also come with the neat fan though
Any suggestions/recomendations? GeiL GX22GB6400PDC vs. Dominator 6400C3DF

EPP is just for enhanced performance but technically speaking, it does not offer any improvement over "real" peformance. EPP just sets the timings at the spec speeds.

As for overclocking, I had the Corsair EPP and they were not goot at all, I never broke the 1000mhz out of my 800mhz, they only got upto 900mhz, yet my 667mhz non-EPP were doing 884mhz. So, no more EPP for me.

that was kinda cryptic 1000 out of my 800? it was the 6400 dominator? though minimal 900 is still higher than 884, but as such it would be wiser to get the GeiL 3-3-3-8 instead?
