Been trying throughout the day to get the step up program page to load and I'm just not getting it to work at all. Am I alone in this?

When you buy an EVGA graphic card from a qualifed reseller your allowed to exchanged that card for a better one within 90 days as long as you pay the difference. A lot of people, myself included were going to do this with the GTO EVGA just recently released. However, now I've been told that they aren't allowing a step up to the G80 and the links for me don't work so I can't confirm it.

I guess one of you guys fixed it. Sounds like they might still accept a step up to the G80. No one in their forum said they wouldn't...

Works for me.

Remember with the step-up program, you have to pay the price of the card on Evga's website. So if you bought a 7900GTO on Newegg for $250, then wanted a 8800GTS, lets say it's $450 on neweeg and $500 on Evga, you have to pay $500 - $250(the orginal amount you spent). You can not buy from Newegg and then step-up to a card from Newegg.

Suppose Nvidia comes out soon with a DirectX10 enabled card? Would we reap the benefeits of eVGA's Step-Up service to upgrade our cards to the next-gen of high-end GPUs?
When they come out...people will be able to step upto them from their cards as long as they are within the 90 day window.

I'd rather lose the 50 and get that card for 200 cheaper. I somehow doubt newegg will have good prices when it's first released.

You should be waiting 6-9 months behind the curve for hardware anyways. Games won't tax out the cards for another year probably, so having one when they are at the most expensive is a waste. Your 7900GTO should be able to last you for a long time.
