g'day everyone
was wondering if anyone knows of any aftermarket mosfet heatsinks that will fit on the evga x58 sli le?

i know EK makes a full cover block
but i was hoping to hold off on watercooling the entire board until next year and was hoping to find a better mosfet cooler for the time being

any help is muchly appreciated

Don't really know. IIRC though, Thermalright has some MOSFET heatsinks, don't know if they fit.

You could always go the innovative way, and tie down 40mm fans over the MOSFETs.
i zip tied a 80mm fan over the top of the mosfet heatsink

dramatic drop in temps, by as much as 20 degrees at load

for those of you who also have this board, be aware that when the mosfets hit 90c, it throttles your cpu clock, so i recommend adding a fan to the mosfets, even if it looks ugly, it helps a lot
How hot are your getting then? I'm not having any problems here with temps. Mine aren't even hot to the touch
i was getting high 60s to mid 70s, sometimes 80s, overclocked and under load, depending on the heat of the day

its summer here so hotter days
