Eye finity with 2 monitors?

3725 Views 12 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  E_man
I have not tried my eye finity, but I do not have triple monitor set up.
I currently have single monitor set up, but I would like to get another monitor soon for dual set up.
Does eye finity works with dual monitor?

Yes, it's basically anything above 1 monitor.
thanks guys.
I wonder if triple monitor set up is really worth it though..
It looks amazing, but is it really worth it?

Depends on the use...

Games, yes. Otherwise the bezel is going to screw with the center of the screen (i.e. crosshair).

Productivity? More "space for activities," but how much is too much? If I'm not mistaken (going off the cuff here), I believe I saw a study on office productivity (office settings, not the software) with various resolutions and number of screens. After an additional screen, productivity decreased as there was just too much going on for the user to process.

I think the best setup would be one 1920x1200 monitor (for games, and it will be run by the mid-high range GPU's wonderfully) and one 1920x1080 monitor going vertically for going on the internet while gaming, writing word documents.

It's funny to see my 3 year old laptop to be able to do that.

Don't you have to have a native displayport monitor for eyeinfinity to work? Do you have or are you going to purchase a displayport monitor?

I thought that as well, but from what I found they have to be powered adapters, and those run about $80 or more a piece.
