Failed Lin Pack

So i decided to Run the IntelBurntest to check some temps and....
"Conclusion: Your PC has failed Linpack testing.

Why did you receive what you received? If you passed, that's great! If not,
then one or more Residual(norm) values outputted from Linpack did not match
everything else. In this case, it is undeniable to conclude that your CPU
and/or RAM is unstable."

No w I haven't done any excessive Ocing seeing as my board won't let me, but whats up with his. Does this mean my comp is unstable?

info is in the sig.

If it fails your rig is most likely unstable... it doesen't matter how much you overclock, but if it's unstable.. well, time to go back and tweak a few settings.

I've heard IBT is really hard on your CPU though, and normally it will never be under that much load... so if it's stable with other stress testers it's probably fine.

I use Linpack on Linux... same basic principle. My sig rig is currently 8 hr Linpack stable at stock voltage and 3.02GHz!

If you want to pass Linpack, bump up the CPU core voltage a notch or two from Prime95 stable. Keep an eye on your core temps when you do this!
Well its no so much that I want to pass but wanted to max out on temps. My comp rarely BSODs so Im sure its stable and any BSODs are usually a driver or program. But Ill try it anyways.
I agree with the above posters,

If you fail linpack, your PC is essentially unstable.

Intel Burn Test will tell you very quickly how unstable/stable your system is.

I would say if you can't pass 25-30 passes of IBT, you're unstable.

I personally do 30 runs of IBT, 2 Hours OCCT and 12-24 hours of Prime95 if I pass both of those.

How right you are. But it's still a good test for stability. Folding with all 4 cores i get 62-63°c, that could be after 5 mins, or 5 days.

10 Seconds into the linpack tests it reaches 72°c and I stop it, lol.
