HI,
Im a new member & would like to say hi firstly, great forum so far.
I need your advice concerning my BFG 8800gt OC2.
I am running 2 8800GT's, EVGA KO + BFG OC2 in SLi, bios versions are different (because of companies) but they seem to work fine.

The clocks on both cards are correct but the BFG could have been flashed.

I noticed the sticker on the back of the pcb BFG sais it's an OC with an OC2 sticker on top ??? the sticker on the fan sais OC as well.

Maybe someone already had an OC version & bought an OC2 version, took the sticker off the OC2 and put it over the OC one & sent that back as the OC2 card & probably got there monies back ??? elaborate but possible.

I have links for some pics of all the necessary & if you could take a look many thanks.
I have emailed BFG, sent them all the details, surely they can trace a serial no ?? to identify the card ?, they have agreed to RMA it but if nothing seems wrong by you guys then what's the point.

Also if i keep the card would it be better to have the same bios version from either EVGA or BFG on both cards ?

I'm sure its nothing to worry about, you're probably thinking about it too much, even if it was flashed to OC2, thats all BFG does anyways... I mean the stickers look legitimate, the box is definitely legit... looks all good to me, by the way, your pics are very small...

my BFG FX5500 came the same way and it was new. It was just a fx5200 flashed to fx5500 and BFG put the new sticker over it.

The UPC looks kind of worn though, so it could have been a swap. Might want to call up the retailer/e-tailer or BFG to verify. IDK. As long as it's running stable-ly I wouldn't be complaining too much tho.

If the clocks are right, then you have nothing to worry about.
