Fan Fake, Or Real Deal?

Comes in red and green, available from tigerdirect also.
Question: They're rated for 90cfm @ 19DBa on every site I checked. Can anyone confirm the validity of this?

Thanks,

They're legit. IIRC, they're replacement fans for HAF 922/932 intakes. If you're interested, they're fine.

Improbable. The test that manufacturers do to come up with these numbers is a complete mystery. If they do have any significant airflow while being very quiet they will have zero static pressure.

They are indeed quiet, but the 19dB is unfortunately the rating for its slowest speed. Worse yet is that the box these come in (and also now Cooler Master's website) say it's rated at 69.69 CFM. This rating of 69.69 CFM seems much more reasonable for how powerful these feel.

I have the blue LED version of this fan, and it's a really quiet fan at 2000 CFM. It's much quieter than I anticipated. If you don't mind the space-age looking black-light type of appearance these have in the dark (they don't really emit much light, but you can certainly see the light), then I absolutely recommend this fan both as a case fan and moreso as a CPU heatsink fan.

These also have a static pressure (or air pressure) rating of 3.04 mmH2O. It certainly feels like this is accurate (judging how the air pressure felt right in front of the fan).

here's the deal with these fans, they do pump out 90cfm but with not the best static pressure, the 19db rating isn't from when it's at max rpm though, its probably more around 1600 or 1500 rpm opposed to 2000rpm, still at 2000rpm they aren't that loud, i'd say under 309db at 2000rpm

good fans though, I have like 4-5 I believe

also the package of my red led still says 90cfm
blahh they arent 90cfm. they do push plenty of air tho. GREAT fan for the price
They are amazing fans I replaced all three of my 120mm intake fans with the green ones and they are very quite and lowered temps by about 3C
Yep, they're 69 CFM. A Cooler Master representative said they crank all the way up to 90 CFM though with PWM... I think he's lying though TBH.

The blue LED and non-LED ones are a different version(20A), and are rated for 69cfm, versus the 90cfm rating of the green and red(version 20C). LINK

So many confusing mistypes all over this thread LOL:

19dbA at lowest RPM
30dbA at highest RPM
See above for CFM

They make great case fans and ok push/pull heatsink fans.

When I bought mine from Newegg, their site said 90 CFM for it. I know because I remember looking at the box and seeing "69.69", then looking it up on Newegg and seeing "90" (I looked it up via my Order History).

So, they have finally updated it.

I have 2 of the green ones and they are full of win. By far the best exhaust fan I've seen. With my Monsoon III LT pushing 120mm worth of air through the heatsink fins and then towards the back of the case, it sets up for good negative pressure to help keep things cool.

The only problem is everything stays cool so I can't heat my room =\\

The lights aren't bright though. Here's a pic of the green installed as exhaust on my case. It's that green fan slightly peeking out from hiding behind the heatsink.

wow, thanks for the quick responses guys! I'm gonna go with 'em and at least give them a shot.

Pretty close to 0 static pressure.

Really? Do you own one? I do. I also own a fan with a 5.60 mmH20 static pressure rating. The fan we're looking at today doesn't fall too far behind this 5.60 rated fan, and it's rated at 3.04. So if you were to ask me, then I'll say that based on my experience, this Cooler Master fan does NOT have zero static pressure. It most DEFINITELY has at LEAST 2.50 mmH20!

EDIT: I interpreted it wrong. Nevermind. That was full of failsauce.
