I have never heard of anyone Volt modding a fan to run faster or anything im sure you could but I think it would be in best interest to just buy a higher speed fan.

I was just wondering because some fans come with adjustible speed knobs, it is possible to mod a standard case fan to go faster or slower?

We discussed it here once, but I cant find the actual thread... I think the conclusion was, that it wasnt worth it and the fan wouldnt last long.

I would think fans are made to run at their "Max" RPM and not really designed to take anything more.

most fans will run at max speed when given 12v. If you want better performance, instead of modding, get a fan with higher cfm
