Fans for Xigmatek Thor's Hammer

Hey all,

I will be getting Thor's Hammer when I get my new CPU, but I cant decide on what fans to use for a push/pull combo.

I am really leaning towards the Noctua NF-P12 because I have heard only good things from it and it is recommend for heatsinks with tight fin spacing, which Thor's Hammer seems to have.

Thoughts / suggestions for other fans?

Any advice is appricated. Cant decide!

Where exactly are you hearing about the noctua p12's being good for anything other then silent case fans? There have been tests done proving the P12 has low static pressure making it not the best choice for a radiator or a heatsink. They are terribly overpriced and ugly. I would suggest a couple of the S-Flex's.

From the looks of that Yate Loon looks like a winner, cheaper as well

That S-Flex is the 1200rpm version c/d? So wouldnt it be better still to get the 1900rpm version..

Yes you can get a higher RPM version of the S flex if you dont mind the extra noise. The Yate does perform great but the reason its cheaper is because it uses a sleeve bearing instead of the fluid bearing that the S flex uses.

Ohhh I see, looked over that on the spec sheet.

Looks like my Thor's Hammers going to have x2 S-Flex 1900rpms as friends then ^^

Thanks :>~
