Any good ideas or any good products out there with fans in bays? i know a lot of people have done mods but is there anything i can buy? ive got 3-4 empty 5.25" bays and 1 empty 3.5" bay, i badly need front air intake.

I saw the mod with 40mm fans but i think thats going to be really loud. anyone have something using 120mm or 80mm

I have 2 empty 5.25 bays. I hotglued 2x80mm fans together, and then I hot glued them to the case. They don't quite fit in the two holes, but they put a TON of air over my RAM!
this kind of mod is not hard to do, I do admit I had a friend cut the holes on a CNC machine, but you can do it if your careful.

Thermaltake Icage

Coolermaster stacker cage (almost the same as the thermaltake)

both are about $25 and mount into 3 5.25" bays on any pc. remove your front shields, and use a nice mesh cover and voila!

Look at my public profile, I made an intake with a metal shot glass type thing I turned on a lathe, a tube connects it to an 80mm fan I fitted in a shroud thing on the inside of the case, the fan is mounted to the mobo back plate, just under the 2 CD/DVD drives with some extra hardware I got with my Big Typhoon. It is hard to explain exactly what it is, and I can't get a good picture of it, but it works well, blows air on the RAM and Northbridge, as well as basically everything else.
Why would anyone go with the scythe when the thermaltake icage and coolermaster 4-3 cage also give 3 3.5" internal bays as well?
