Does anybody know the name and speed of the fastest (most GHz) processor made by intel? AMD makes it easy to find their processors through the "shop AMD" feature but the intel site has no similar button.

Core i7 965 Extreme @ 3.2 GHz.
It's more than 2.6 times as fast as AMD's current flagship CPU, the Phenom X4 9550 BE.
It'll still run you about $1075...

the CPU with the most GHz made by intel was the intel was the P4 extreme edition of some version that was I believe stock at 3.8GHz.

but now if you are talking about fastest CPU as far as performance goes the P4 was slow.

so he's competing with his friends for the battle of the ghz's
Honestly though if overclock a e8600 or w/e to 4ghz, beats the pentium 4 at 8ghz.
