what have you set your core and memory to on that card? Fear eats up core speed, but be careful of your mem sopeeds, at least that has been my experience. Anyone with knowledge of this want to chime in?

If you overclocked your card, reset it to defaults and see if it does it... If it still does it you might have a bad card in need of RMA.

You may well have an overheating core, artifacting and thermal throttling may be coming into play. Run ATI tool and see what sort of load temps you are achieving after 30 minutes or so. If they are too high then a cooling solution needs to be dealt with.

I had some nasty stuff in F.E.A.R. with my old (stock) 6800Ultra - flickering textures, mostly on character models. Not had any issues with my 7950GX2 though, thankfully. It's running a very mild overclock just now, but when it was mxed out, it still ran ok in this game.

I think my old 6800 was bascally just toast, as it always had some other issues (spikes & spears protruding into the horizon in some games). I know none of this helps - just adding some info into the mix

I am watercooling the GPU, so I don't think the temps are that bad, I might have to reset the block though. Lemme switch over to XP and run some test on it.

Went ahead and called eVGA, lol even though its 12:45 at night. Oh well. They are processing my RMA, and they upped the shipping method to 2nd day, sadly they can't cross ship it. Its all good though. So Ill be without my computer for like a week ish. Good thing I got a back up rig. They told me I have one of the originally cards that have been known to artifract and what not. And they released a revised version of the cards. So I will be getting one that is guranted to work.
