please correct anything wrong with this build
in reality I will have the funds in 6 months, should I wait until then to create a better machine or buy part by part starting now?
If you were ready to build now it would be a decent build, but i wouldn't start buying parts with haswell around the corner along with the 8xxx series. I would defiantly wait till you have all your money.

Since it will take you a while to build up your funds, I would definitely hold off on getting the mobo, cpu, and gpu. Odds are you are going to see 1. Lower prices on those same parts in 6 months (motherboard, CPU and GPU) 2. There will be better equipment within your price range in 6 months. Personally, the prices of SSDs are dropping drastically. In 6 months they could be greatly reduced. RAM is gradually decreasing as well, 1866 RAM is getting closer to the 1600 price range. If you wait for parts and bargains on the pieces you want, SSD, RAM, Windows, power supply, case, and optical drive, you will be able to pay the lowest amount for all of your collective parts. With the new technology on the horizon, buying the CPU, mobo, and GPU is not a wise decision at this point.

All that summed up: Personally, I would hold off on purchasing until I had my funds together. I would watch the prices on those components least likely to be outdated in 6 months. If you wait 6 months you may save a couple hundred bucks on your current build and be able to purchase something really nice, like water cooling loops, or upgrade to better equipment for the same price.

Either way the build looks good so you would be happy with it IMHO.

EDIT: I might would opt for a slightly better motherboard as well, but that board is perfectly fine for what you want.

Biggest issue I have is why a build costing over $1000 in total has a cheap motherboard with no VRM cooling.... that should be changed, but it shouldn't cost much more if at all. You could probably offset it by making sure you get a DVD drive under $20 shipped (if it's over $20 shipped, that's just ridiculous).

But, in 6 months, things will probably change. My guess is Kaveri APU will be about out and if you read up on what that is and what HSA is (you can use the link in my sig), as that may totally change the game. There's also an FX CPU refresh and Intel Haswell coming.
