i actually finish putting everything together on tuesday night but didn't get time to post any pics or leave any comments
unfotunately i had a rocky start. the chipset module in the newly arrived corsair 800d was busted. therefore my boot drive won't load no matter what. then i had to do a bit of research to find out how exactly are you suppose to install a window 7 upgrade cd on a blank drive. and just tonight i managed to have enough time to tinger abit with the Oc utility and here is my result
the new Asus P6X58D is actually pretty solid. it came with the standard cmos reset so overclocking was a breeze, the turbov on the otherhand was anything but a fun to use. same goes for the fan management. however they did make a pretty kick ass bios and i like the idea of an linux like SSD boot before anything else.
Very nice! Gratz! I just made my first rig yesterday and I'm personally very proud of my achievement. Same PSU as me too, its a pain to cable manage though! xD
haha thanks. yeah the TX850 was a bit of a pain to install but it's heavy as hell and that mean it's top notch
. the only issue i'm having is the hot swap bay won't work. so right now i have my intel SSD just dangling around in the case. i'm also planning on putting a 120x120x55mm intake fan where the bottom 3 5.25" bay is, that should cool down both the Ram and the Megahalem quite a bit.
