Hey guys,

I've finally decided to dive into watercooling, but before I do that, I want to give you an Idea of what I've got!

There are my glamour shots for how it is right now... and that being said... lets get on with the changes

Currently its cooled by a NZXT Kraken X60, and it does a good job at 4.5Ghz, but when you start pushing it, it doesn't like it. I have decided that its time to quit being a baby and go Custom Loop. I have never done a custom loop, so this will be my first dive in, so cut me some slack!

I decided I was going to try to buy some parts off here and fill in the rest with parts from dealers.

What I bought on OCN

Swiftech Apogee 2 w 2011 bracket and a bunch of fittings (20 in total). The fittings were a mix of XSPC Compression and bitspower compression.
(yes I know this is not the best option, but I thought self-contained might be good for my first step)

Fittings list

Fittings/Compressions/Adapters:
10 - XSPC Compressions (1/2x3/4)
4 - Swiftech 1/2x3/4 Barbs
4 - Swiftech Compressions (non-1/2x3/4)
1 - BP 90-deg adapter
2 - BP 45-deg elbow
2 - BP 90-deg rotary

I also bought the following from Performance PCs

  1. 1 x Magicool Slim Profile 3X140mm Radiator - Black (MC-RADI420) = $59.95
    Fitting Size 1/2" OD
  2. 1 x Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 400 - Full Clear Acrylic Version (BP-WTZM400AC-CL) = $43.95
    Nozzles No Nozzles
  3. 1 x *** NEW *** PrimoFlex Advanced LRT 10ft Tubing - 1/2in. ID X 3/4in. OD - Crystal Clear (PFLEXA10-34) = $24.99
  4. 1 x *** NEW *** Mayhems Dye - 15ml Emerald Green (MD-DYE-EG-15) = $8.95
  5. 1 x *** NEW *** Mayhems Biocide Extreme (MD-BIO-EXT) = $7.95
  6. 1 x Bitspower BP-WTT-70ML Bitspower Fill Syringe (BP-WTT-70ML) = $4.50
  7. 1 x IandH Silver KillCoils - Antimicrobial .999 Fine Silver Tubing / Reservoir Strip (IANDH-KILLCOIL) = $6.99

I plan on adding the GPUs in once I get more money. I'm thinking about adding 2 Swiftech Komodo Blocks because I love the look. I will also be adding a 280/240mm Rad in the bottom when that time comes.

My real plan is to try to get an H630 and do some modding, but who knows If that'll happen!

Please let me know what you think and feel free to point out anything!

Edit:

I should probably put the system specs

3930k
Asrock Extreme4
16GB of Samsung Green @ 2133
2 EVGA GTX 780 SC
250GB Samsung 840
Antec 900w PSU!

I did... :-D They were taken in ways to show off so I figured "Glamour Shots"

I wish I could take credit for the cables, but they are just Betfenix Extensions!

I wasnt aware you could buy extensions pre made like that. Now that I have a modular PSU, I'm considering doing that myself. I want to paint my case black and re do it neon green

Alrighty, I got it all in and well, I'm pretty happy with the look...

I just wish the dye would look as dark in the tubes as it does in the res... but hey, I guess it'll come with more and more flow....

I've still got the cpu at 4.5 and its rock solid under prime95 at 57c

You've got a very good chip and great cooling then! Nice job!

The pics look great. Which reminds to ask - what do you that big cylinder with the liquid in it. Is that the reservoir?

They are good blocks from what I hear.

You could do EK blocks and then the acrylic bridge to show off the green fluid right up front.

Or the XSPC Razor (obviously pick the right one for your GPUs, but this was the first example that came up

) and get a green LED kit to light em up to match your build.

I say get either the Aquacomputer Kryographics (the "windowed" one, copper or nickel), or Watercool Heatkiller "Hole Edition" model, for your GPU's... IMHO, nothing else comes close!
