Seeing that all I have for storage is a 2 year old Maxtor 40GB IDE, I think its safe to say it's time for an upgrade! I'm starting to see '4GB Required HDD space' on games a lot, and the 100GB+ HDDs are getting cheap! OK here's what I need: 100GB space or more (Unless you can convince me to go 80GB), I'd like it to be SATA, and keep it around $80 or less!

For $80 you're looking at an 80 GB PATA (aka IDE). SATA are running around $87... I recommend Western Digital as I use them all the time and whenever there is a problem they are really easy to get an RMA from if you need it.

Do you guys think that 80GB will be enough or should I go for a 120GB HDD?

Soon, games will be normally about 4gb anyways, so why not go for the 120? That is my best advice, but i am just a stupid pollock, what do i know?

Stay away from Maxtor! They have bad service help and worse warranties. Don't even ask about RMA on those...
