My motherboard is the one in my sig which requires two 8 pin atx 12 volt power. My power supply is modular and came with 2 that fit but the end of each of them are different.

Can one of the ends be PCI express? It looks like this:

Also is the 6 pin all I plug in and the other 2 pin just extra?

edit: I just pulled this out and I do not think I can use it because one of the pins is missing inside.

Yeah you should be able to get the system running with one 8 pin. The second one is only really needed if your doing some crazy overclocking

Is that blue one the EPS 12V or a PCIe 8 pin? try wiggling the cable around to get the metal thing to lock in properly

I guess I will just use one. I do not have the other cord I guess. I planned on OC'ing my cpu to around 4.0. I have the h50 cooler. I will only need the one cord right?

Yep only one required.

Just realized you have the same power supply as I do. There is an extra CPU cord included with the 1000HX. You'll only need the one 8 pin CPU cord that is already connected to the PSU, i.e. the only nonmodular cords in the PSU.

Just make sure you DO NOT USE the PCI-E cord to supply the CPU.
