Okay decided to build my first htpc to get rid of my blueray player and dvd/reciever.

Heres what I have currently

cpu/mobo/vga combo

blue ray drive

or i might have to find a slim one depends on what case i get
1x2gb of ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134751
I have a copy of windows 7 pro 32bit idk if its okay to use that OS?
I also have 2 hdd laying around 250gb 7200rpm and 2tb 5900rpm. I would like the 2tb to be removable so I can move the files from my desktop to this htpc.
I have actual stereo speakers and was wondering anyway to hook it up to the comp so it can play 5.1 and also when I watch live tv from the cable box/tv It will still play those speakers.
I need suggestions for both sound and tv tuner and is there anything else im missing other than case. Oh yea i forgot to mention all playing on my 32inch tv its only 720p So i think the cpu can handle this with both netflix and movies from my hdd.

I have found new things
changed the cpu/vga/mobo combo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131698
since it has bluetooth and wifi <--- both needed and only $30 more
getting
Logitech X-540 speakers I just hope the wires are long enough to put in a room
pretty sure I can config these speakers to work with the tv? (correct me if im wrong)
no need for the keyboard anymore i found a program that might work with my iphone to control the htpc. Iphone ftw.

So you are going to use "stereo speakers" AND the x-540's? I honestly am confused.
It looks like you will need to go from your cable box > PC input > speakers OR just get a Y adapter and make sure you only have one source playing at a time.
If you are not using your HTPC as a PVR you should use XBMC (free) for your media playing and they have an APP (free) for your iphone.

Edit - And if you are going ITX I like this case more and it is cheaper, alot of the ITX "regular/mini-towers) are about the same price and smaller.

Okay sorry if i confused anyone. When im first gonna build this HTPC its not gonna be a PVR but maybe later on ill install a card so I can do that. Okay this all plays on a 32inch that only goes 720p.

gigabyte can prob play surround sound, 1st asus i can add a different sound card and add a wifi card instead of usb, as well as put a hdtv tuner. 2nd asus just has wifi and bluetooth but im limited to that sound card and only one add on card. I am no longer gonna use stereo speakers, Im going to try to see if i can buy computer speakers.

So now i need speakers hopefully one with a wireless remote control to turn on/off and switch volumes. So far I found these
