In case any of you arn't familiar with the pump I am talking about:
http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produc...5&cat=4&page=1

I am looking into upgrading my watercooling. At the moment, I am using a Corsair Nautilus 500 and the only thing I have changed is a fan swap. I want to upgrade my pump and tubing, but it seems that the DD12V-D5 won't fit (too tall) into my enclosure. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am considering buying a new radiator if I need one as well, it depends. This seems to be a fairly popular setup, so I thought I would ask around. Should I need to make a new enclosure, how should I go about it? Are there any guides out there?

Right now I have all of my components outside of my case. I haven't read into putting them inside. Are there any guides out there for this? How do I secure the components and are the means that I use the secure them permanent? They won't hinder me from making any hardware upgrades, will they? Also, since the pump needs to be elevated (or so I think), where in the case should I secure it? How easy is it to move my computer around and what should I be careful of when I do it?

I would sell the complete system and use the funds to pay for part of a custom setup.

And just what would that custom system look like? It would be nice if you knew of any of the tutorials I previously requested.

Scroll about half way down this thread, I left some pictures and a description of what I did to mine...It was a waste of money, but it turned out to be a high performance rig.If you want to go to a internal one read the Stickies here, they are a good place to start...Are Thermochill rad's worth their price - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

Na I use using high speed metal bits. it was going good till the last little bit...You know how your bit hangs sometimes when it's going through the back...It spun my little top out of the sand and chipped the inside of the impeller chamber...I was holding it to.......I was just going to fast....

Honestly, just pay the extra few bucks and buy the nice D5. It costs more, yes, but you aren't stuck with a paperweight when you misdrill it. If your new, just do it right the first time and get a D5. I have one and its almost silent once you get all the air out of your system. its fantastic. great head (*snicker*, pressure rather), great flow, great pump.

Oh man...you won't get me anywhere near a drill press without a clamp. I'm still scarred from the safety videos my high school shop classes invested in. It looked fake as can be, but the missing limb and the 6ft squirting of blood got the point across.
