Had this passed on to me in the official 7950/70 thread and thought I would make it easier to find for everyone. I have having problems with Afterburner and the newest drivers where Afterburner would just show 0 for both the core and the memory and this patch (supposedly by ATIman) fixes that issue!

MSI AB PATCH

Confirmed by me working on every (even betas) driver since 12.1!

ty i'll give it a go since my afterburner drops all values to 0 if the cards are not under high load i even get temp readings of 0 while my second card if its not under a stress test! I'v been having tons of issues with these cards..... not all were ati's fault however

You can turn off ULPS in Afterburner's config file

Thank you! Been looking to solve this problem for a good while now , now i don't even have to disable AMD overdrive from the missing tab in CCC 12.3 to let MSI take control of my 5850s!

Don't be sorry! As long as you are OCing and it is working out for you then there is nothing to be sorry about. No loyalists to AB here... whatever works.

Should work for everyone on every driver. I'll report back in the OP if there is a driver it doesn't work with.

I guess this is the permanent solution to OCing for us AMD folks now.

I was having a issues with the AB and CCC working together. I ended up editing CCC to increase clock rates.

I installed the final version of AB 2.2 last night and its great. No more conflicts everything is running great. Spent all last night gaming at 985Mhz. Got some great 3Dmark 11 benches in, it was a great night.

HERE is the link to the final version of MSI Afterburner 2.2

The final version of AB no longer needs these 2 .dll files anymore?

This work well for me for a week and then i got another Bsod I seem to get them about 1-2 a week so i just decided to get ride of AB my pc proably just doesn't like AB did everthing correctly may give a new version of AB a go later and not bother with unlocking, think that was the issue on my pc not that i have any proof or bothered to test it lol
