Just as title says I cant find it or it isn't installed and I don't know from where I can install it again since I didn't see it on synaptic. I sort of need it so I can view my system temps all the time any ideas would be appreciated.
thats the weird thing I have lmsensors and I can run sensors in terminal and get my system temps but the hardware temp monitor doesn't appear at all so I am unable to add it to my bar so I can view them all the time.

What? Why would any file let alone "modules" need a restart? IIRC Linux modules are fully loadable/unloadable so once the config file is edited and saved, it should be fine.
I''ve installed not only lm_sensors from source but even i2c and the install process scans and sets up and at the end of the script, sensors are working.... no restart required.... or is this a Ubuntu thing?
