Nah. We have santa hat avatars, if you must show christmas cheer. I'm sure practitioners of other holidays can put on some sort of symbol for that holiday as well, so long as they don't get their pants in a bunch and start getting offended at other people's symbols.
Also, our friends down under don't have a snowy winter at the moment so can't really do a winter theme either. I think the hats, snow, and trees in avatars are plenty.
I think the avatar slot just a few pixels below the flame is a fine slot for members who would like some holiday cheer to express that desire - Overclock.net will not be making any formal changes to the site's design for those occasions.
