well, i recently put memtest onto my flash drive and formatted it into a bootable drive. My question is... now, it takes forever to write any data onto the thing. For example I went and put 4gb of music on the drive and instead of taking the usual couple minutes it took close to 15-20min to get everything copied from my hdd to my flash drive.

Is making a flash drive bootable slow it down like this? Or is something else the culprit?

what do you mean by format it again? and will the reformat effect it being bootable?
