I have this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128375 it is a crossfire only x58 board but they released this version like right after i bought mine which is a SLI only x58 board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128386

Would i be able to flash my bios to this version so i can use SLI ? And if yes how would i go about doing this?

x58 can do cross fire and sli i thought.

Just go to the manufacture website then find the board. then download the bios and use then instructions on the manufactures website to flash the bios

I think it's a great possibility. If you're to do use, use Qflash, and just get the BIOS for the board you want flashed to.

I believe those boards have Dual BIOS' so you shouldn't have to worry to much...be careful though

The boards do look identical.

ok yeah this board does have dual bios so i guess that will help, so i just download it then what?

Not all X58 boards can do both SLI and crossfire.
I personally would be extremely careful doing this, as the Crossfire board may not have all the required chips/features for SLI and vise-versa.

nope im pretty sure all have the hardware to do SLI, its just they didnt get the licensing for SLI on this board. Thats what makes it so cheap. And yes this board can be flashed i heard about it on com.puter.tv new update thing lol.

Just google it, and im sure you will find out how to do it.
