Hello,

I'm new to the flashing and overclocking of videocards.
I want to flash my Aopen Aeolus FX5200 128MB to a Gigabyte FX5500, which I read how to do so in a FAQ somewhere here^^

The problem is, that every time I try to do so, it gives me the error:
Supported EEPROM not found
(55,AA)

I don't know how to solve this... I've used both Nvflash 5.13 and 4.42 and I get the same error.

I looked around this forum for a way to solve this thing, but I hardly found anything useful. I gues I'm doing something wrong, so if you guys could help me...

PS. Is it even possible to flash it with my videocard? Because I read with the (55,AA) flashing might nog be possible..

Thnx in advance

Wasn't aware you could flash that card to something else. Some of the cards out there like the 6800gs are crippled versions of a higer card (same gpu as a 6800 ultra but some of the pipes have been disabled) I don't know if there is actually anything to unlock on a 5200.

You'll need to make sure you have the same type of core to flash. If you have a different version or a newer one may have different core it won't work. Not sure exactly but it sounds like its not going to work.
Best try to find the specs on the fx5500 and make sure its all the same on your card. If they're the same it should work, perhaps find another source for the bios to flash?
