x-plane dude. costs a bit, but totally customizable. i'm into 3d modeling and such, and you can model your own evironments and planes and put them in the working dir for fun scalability

I ordered that from club live for the hell of it.
Maybe just a piece of software to show off my computer to non gamers and what not.

Biggest piece of crap avaliable.
My friends PC with a 7600gt and a pentiumd can only run it at 800x600 on low.
And his drivers are fine and work on all oother games.

Orly. Well that's not exactly a high end system, and this game was released like december of 06 right?
I would expect i could max it out.
I'll probably keep it if it looks fairly good.
Besides, my dad always thinks these flight sim games look cool...
I can run the demo on medium-high settings with my system, so your friends' computer is messed up. And I just got my copy of the game from club live yesterday but I don't have the space to install it yet.
Dezixn, you can't run it completely maxed out, and neither can 8800 Ultras in SLI (playing at the highest resolution though, and only getting 20fps) because it's poorly coded.

I think it is an amazing game... I have the game and it runs on High graphics overall... I think it is Ultra on Aircraft, Ultra on Weather, Medium on everything else... but it only rins @ about on average 16fps. But it is still an amazing flight sim.
in FSX you gotta go to settings > then customize > then change the target frame rate to somewhere near your current FPS, then it will take less CPU resources to do, which in turn will give you more FPS.
I did this and i was getting 10-20 fps, I changed the target FPS to 40 and I'm getting 30's now.
just play with the settings, Like the aircraft settings....do you really need them that high when the majority of the time you're in the 3D ****pit and you don't even see the plane?
