Hi all

I need a floppy to update my Bios from v1.2 to 1.3, for some reason live update wont do a windows bios update and i need 1.3 so i can change the core voltage and OC my CPU.

Anyway, ive got a floppy disk in my dell PC, but my current PC doesnt have the right power connector, so can i have the floppy disk's power cable plugged into my dell pc and have the IDE plugged into my current pc, or is this not safe? Also i only have one IDE slot on my Mobo, can i chain the floppy disk with my DVD rom?

Thanks

I'm not sure i totally understand the first bit, but you cannot chain a floppy with an optical drive, it'll be messy, likewise with a HDD (you'll notice the connections are different sizes)
If what you're asking is whether or not you can run power from one pc and get the info through an IDE onto another PC, then this doens't seem like it'd be a problem as long as they are both running. however, this i am less sure of, i would wait for final approval from someone who knows their power supplies
Cheers!
