FO3 Installation Problem

I've tried running it several times but the problem continues. The installation starts fine but it'll just stop and claim that it's installing Games For Windows Live or direct x, both of which are already installed on my PC and FO3 should run with the versions I have. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way around it?

I also got a new DVD drive recently, samsung sh-s223f, but I'm quite sure that's up and running because it installed nero fine

Never mind, I fiddled abit and managed to fix it (still took ages though)
