Anyone who is having issues with displayport being detected by you GTX 680, be forewarned that Displayport isnt working as of now for certain monitors. I have contacted Nvidia and they are aware of the issue and are confident that it is a driver issue that can be fixed. In the mean time, im stuck using HDMI and limited to 60htz

***update from Nvidia in case anyone else is having issue***:

"NVIDIA is aware of a compatibility issue with a few DisplayPort monitors and the GeForce GTX 680 with v301.10 drivers where the monitor may not be detected. We plan for this to be resolved in our upcoming Release 300 unified driver. Affected displays include the Lenovo LT2452p and Samsung S23A750, S27A750, LS23A950 & LS27A950."

Wow. I can't believe there was someone else with the same issue. I was getting really pissed that the DP wasn't working and that I would be stuck with 60Hz over HDMI instead of the 120Hz. Thank you for contacting Nvidia and getting the ball rolling on it.

Ah I didn't realize you were using displayport. I am using the Dual DVI cable that was included with the monitor and it works perfectly.

That explains it. Do you have a DP cable you could try? i'd use DDVI, but mine only has HDMI and DP

I actually don't. My version doesn't include a displayport cable.

Update from ManuelG at the Nvidia forums:

Are you having problems with both BIOS/P.O.S.T. and/or Windows only? With Windows, we areaware of a compatibility issue with a few DisplayPort monitors and the GeForce GTX 680 with v301.10 drivers where the monitor may not be detected due to the display reporting incorrect DisplayPort version. We plan for this to be resolved in our upcoming Release 300 unified driver. On the AMD Radeon 7970, we have found that it is reporting itself as a DP 1.1 part and that is why you do not see this problem.

Fffffffuuuuuuu.....
I just ordered the 680s and already found buyers for my 6950s...
So we won't be running 120hz on our s23a750d for a while? Anyone know how long for?
What a shame....
Quick question, I had mini displayport cables cuz that's what AMD required. I noticed with NVIDIA they use full sized displayport cable. 1.1 cables ok or do I need 1.2 cables?

Im thinking maybe this coming week from talking to some mods in the Nvidia forum. Could be a little later, but this month for sure. Also, you will need the full sized cable. The monitor should have come with it though no?

Tuesday can't come fast enough!

Just installed the 680 sli tonight. Unigine 3.0 score came out 3x as much as my cf 6950.
However tried playing battlefield and it just gave me a headache trying to play 60hz.
Using hdmi instead of displayport lose colors?
I could swear my screen was a lot brighter, colorful on the 6950s. I'm really hoping its the displayport issue...

Mine was the same. You need to change the Black Level to Low. I bet it defaulted back to Normal.
