I have a partition of a hard drive that I need to format, but it can't be seen in windows 7 (my xp install i wanna format to have 113 gb more space)

I can get into xp fine and all, but I can't format in it (obviously)

ubuntu can see it but not format it

what do i do?

there's a disc called hiren out there. go google it and download it. it's an iso so burn it to a cd and let it boot from there. Hiren will be able to format anything plus it ahs alot of great software to use on startup in case of emergences
